Until further notice, refugees from Ukraine can visit the zoo and other municipal cultural institutions free of charge. It is sufficient to present the Ukrainian passport, regulation applies immediately.
„It’s only a small sign of help,“ says Matthias Nocke, head of the culture department, „but if we can help to forget the bad pictures and hardships of the escape for a few hours, for example with a visit to the zoo, we are very happy to do it.”
The free admission for refugees applies to all municipal cultural institutions, including the locations of the Museum of Industrial Culture (Engels-Haus, Ribbon Weaver Museum) or the Von der Heydt Museum and the municipal baths.
As Corona protection must remain, proof that you have been vaccinated, recovered or tested is still required.
